The PLM4MBSE working group on the integration of MBSE and PLM develops requirements for MBSE authoring tools such as SysML and Modelica as well as for the architecture and interfaces of PLM systems for improved cross-disciplinary collaboration in the product development process.

In terms of content, the working group deals with current developments in technologies and procedures in MBSE and PLM. A cooperation with current research activities is planned. The working group sees a focus in the identification of standardization work (e.g. in the OMG - Object Management Group) and plans to collaborate with organizations active in this field (e.g. prostep ivip e.V.).

The guiding principle of PLM4MBSE AG is the position paper on “10 theses about MBSE and PLM” drawn up in 2015.
