Integrated Product Support im Systems Engineering (IPS4SE)

Alt Text

Under the influence of changes in interoperability, business models, digitalisation and networking, influencing parameters that act as cost drivers at an early stage is becoming increasingly important. New legal conditions such as the EU directive on the right to repair and their implementation in product design are also influencing factors that must be increasingly taken into account during development.

The early involvement of experts from the later product life cycle ensures the success of developing the system ‘Right First Time’ from the point of view of technology, handling, service, logistics and costs. The ‘enablers’ of reliability, availability, maintainability, safety and sustainability are some of the elements that are considered in the Integrated Product Support (IPS) working group.

In Manual 5.0, one part is also labelled and listed under the new term Loss-Driven Systems Engineering.
