Funktionale Architekturen für Systeme (FAS)

Functional architectures are a mean of technology-independent system modelling.
The FAS working group aims to gather experience in the application of existing methods for the development of functional architectures and to improve the methods.
The focus is not only on the methods themselves, but also on their application in model-based system modelling with SysML.
The working group wants to be able to usefully and efficiently implement the methods in practice with specific SysML modelling tools.

Current Goals

Our short-term goal is to derive and publicise experience from the practical application of the existing FAS method and best practices.
Our medium-term goal is to develop support for the FAS method for all common SysML tools.
Our long-term goal is to establish and publicise the method internationally.
