Study Award

The number of universities offering a degree course in Systems Engineering has grown steadily in recent years. The GfSE has been promoting students' work since 2006 and awards prizes for the best work every year. Students can apply with their final thesis. They submit a summary of their Bachelor's or Master's thesis via the TdSE conference website. The submission deadline is set each year. This year's deadline is 08.06.2025.

Conditions for Participation

  • Seven to ten-page publication on your own Bachelor's or Master's thesis in accordance with the specifications on the website of the Day of Systems Engineering www.tdse.org
  • The publication deals with a topic from the field of Systems Engineering
  • The Bachelor's or Master's thesis on which the publication is based on must have been submitted to a university in a German-speaking country in the previous year or by July 1st of the current year in which the Systems Engineering Study Award is held
  • The publication has been written in German or English
  • All materials submitted as part of the study award can be published by the GfSE without restriction
  • The author must be prepared to present the content of the publication in a presentation in the final round of the Study Award as part of the Systems Engineering Day (tdse.org) of the current year.

Other finalists will receive €300. All finalists will be offered a GfSE/INCOSE membership free of charge for one year.

Evaluation

All submitted publications will be evaluated by the study award committee. The authors of the best publications will be invited to the final round on Systems Engineering Day.
