Training and Certification

The GfSE offers a wide range of free online sessions, trainings and certifications to build and expand knowledge and skills in Systems Engineering. Our close relationships with experts and companies allow you to benefit from best practices and standards and advance your career in Systems Engineering.

The promotion of Systems Engineering as a career is based on student education through universities on the one hand and on-the-job training on the other.

This is supported by three initiatives:

Further Training to become a Certified Systems Engineer (GfSE)®

The SE-ZERT® is a personal certificate based on a curriculum taught by accredited training providers that qualifies employees for their work as Systems Engineers.

GfSE Study Award

All students can take the initiative with their Systems Engineering topics and submit their publications on their Bachelor's and Master's theses for the annual study award.

GfSE Certified Systems Engineer

The GfSE offers the “GfSE Certified Systems Engineer” (GFSE CSE) as a certificate for Systems Engineering. It aims to validate and document knowledge and skills. This is categorized in levels A, B, C and D. The certification is not carried out by the GfSE itself. GfSE works together with selected and certified partners for training and examinations.

Online Sessions

INCOSE regularly offers online sessions on various Systems Engineering topics. Participation is free of charge for GfSE members. If live participation is not possible, the recording can be accessed afterwards free of charge.
