In the GfSE “Working Group for Applied Teaching and Research” (ARGALF for short), professors from various universities regularly exchange ideas and thus improve their own systems engineering-related teaching, for example. The professors and researchers active in this community of practice have been working for years on improving the practicability of MBSE approaches, among other things. In doing so, they try out lightweight MBSE approaches in student projects: “We are already constantly applying MBSE-Light approaches in our teaching. Industry can only benefit from this” was the tenor of one of the workshops held by this working group. ARGALF would like to strengthen the transfer of knowledge to industry. For example, symposia on MBSE topics are planned with the participation of companies. The working group welcomes new members to this working group and companies that are interested in cooperation, e.g. as part of research projects.
