Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Since 2005, the GfSE working group MBSE provides a forum for the exchange of experience on the topic of model-based systems engineering (MBSE). A special achievement of the working group was the cooperation with ESO (European Southern Observatory) in the MBSE Challenge Team and the creation of a comprehensive SysML model of a telescope system as well as an MBSE Cookbook (Details see mbse.gfse.de)

The mission of the MBSE Working Group: to provide a platform for members of GfSE to exchange questions and experiences related to MBSE.

Activities of the MBSE WG:

  • Regular telephone conferences for coordination
  • Coordination with GfSE working groups from the MBSE environment, including FAS, SAF, PLM4MBSE and Sys(S)ML.

Current topics:

The current guiding topic of the MBSE WG is the new SysML v2. We want to look at the new concepts and highlight their application in practice. Another topic is the migration from SysML v1 to SysML v2, as well as the interoperability of models.

Other topics related to MBSE are always welcome.
